Fashion for the Cure!

As we all know, October is breast cancer awareness month, a time to reflect, remember, and cherish those we have lost and those who have survived breast cancer. All throughout the month, a variety of events are held to raise funds and awareness for the cause. Among all of these events were a special series of fashion shows that were produced in the Simon malls on October 8^th in Rockaway and in Livingston on the 9^th.  With our help and participating stores throughout each mall, two wonderful shows highlighted current fashion trends and some amazing breast cancer survivors.

And when I say amazing, I mean A M A Z I N G!!!

Over the course of the two days, people gathered to enjoy music, makeovers, fashion and fun to support their friends and family. The events helped survivors learn that there is life after cancer and a great one at that. All models for the fashion show were breast cancer survivors who individually added their own unique charms to the events. American Idol’s Tiffany Rios was also in attendance for both events and performed a few of her new singles including an upbeat version of Celine Dion’s “To Love You More.”

Overall, it was a memorable event and left a great feeling of hope amongst the crowd.

The Weekend That Was…

AMAZING!

The Hip Event was out in full force this past weekend. Nothing’s better than a few hot events mixed together with celebrities and a great cocktail.

Up and down the Jersey coast we brought a new meaning to ‘hip.’

Girls Who Rock Concert Benefiting She’s The First!

This is an incredible opportunity to rock out for a great cause! We just had to share this with all of you!

On June 10th, Girls Who Rock is hosting a concert to benefit She’s The First, “a New York-based not-for-profit, will fundraise for the sponsorship of girls at the Arlington Academy of Hope in Uganda. With your support, Uganda girls will be “the first” to graduate and pursue careers that raise their communities out of poverty and better our world.”

Long Branch, NJ Hotspot Debuts on Memorial Day Weekend

Avenue in Long Branch, New Jersey has unveiled a stylish new beach bar, which will debut on Friday, May 27, 2011. The 2,000 square foot open-air oasis on the sand, which will be open to the public, is located adjacent to Avenue’s ocean side deck, next to the restaurant and nightclub’s private beach club.

The new beach bar will offer upscale beer, wine, frozen cocktails and a grill menu. Great burgers and perfectly charred sausages are sure to be standouts on star-chef Dominique Filoni’s menu.

Along with the cool drinks, delicious cuisine and stunning views, Avenue’s beach bar will include a rotation of top international DJ’s. Resident DJ Mark Allen, who has been spinning in Ibiza, Spain over the past several summers, is scheduled to light up the beach on weekend afternoons all summer long.

Avenue’s new beach bar will be surrounded by a dozen Florida palm trees, transplanted directly into the sand. “Our new beach bar will add another cool destination to the upscale amenities at Pier Village,” said Avenue’s General Manager Thierry Carrier. “We’re excited to provide a cool place to chill-out on one of New Jersey’s prettiest beaches”.

Avenue, which is located at 23 Ocean Avenue in Long Branch, New Jersey, serves dinner seven nights a week, lunch Mondays through Fridays, and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
