Smythe Volvo Grand Opening was a huge success!

The accomplished team at Smythe Volvo hosted an elegant grand opening celebration in their new showroom in Summit, NJ on June 17.  Smythe Volvo is one of the longest standing Volvo dealers in the U.S. and with the successful launch of its state-of-the-art showroom; it is now also one of the largest.

The mayor of Summit, Ellen Dickson, started off the evening with a ribbon cutting ceremony after conveying her well wishes for the promising new dealership.  Later in the evening, Kevin Flanagan, President of Smythe Volvo Inc., delivered a welcoming introduction speech, followed up by Tony Nicolosi, President and CEO of Volvo Cars North America, who had nothing but positive words to share with the over 200 attendees.  Volvo executives from around the world were present at the event, such as President and CEO of Volvo Car Group Hakan Samuelsson. A guest appearance from New York Giants running back, Rashad Jennings, was a highlight of the night due to his fun-loving personality.

The guests mingled to the sounds of “Rhythm for Real,” a funk and jazz band from Madison High School, while they sipped on cocktails courtesy of PURE Vodka.  The attendees were also welcomed to munch on hors d’oeuvres catered by the Brownstone.  For dessert, Palermo’s bakery donated an eye-catching, P1800 shaped cake for all attendees not only to eat, but also to look at.  There was also an informational table for “Alex’s Lemonade Stand,” a foundation in support of children’s cancer and cancer research, out all night.  Wells Fargo’s sponsorship at the delightful event helped Smythe Volvo kick start its long awaited opening in luxury!

There were over nine Volvo cars on display in the polished dealership. Jakob, the first Volvo ever made, and the rare and vintage P1900 were both key focal points for guests to admire.

A Beautiful Night at Dieci Uomo

Another fantastic Happy Hour took place last night, April 24, 2014 at men’s salon Dieci Uomo in Livingston, NJ. Sounds from a live DJ were playing as men were pampered with a discounted hot shave and complimentary express manicures, chair massages and shoe shines. Afterwards, they were able to relax with delicious bites available from local restaurant Calabria’s as well as open bar and complimentary cigars from Fume Cigars. There was even a brief discussion held on the background and benefits of Botox from P.A. Stephanie Rosen with free injections to men who were interested in trying the service.

Schultz Furrier Valentine’s Day Event

RHONJ’s Melissa and Joe Gorga made a special appearance to enjoy cocktails and mingle with other guests. Of course, there was shopping in store for everyone and Joe didn’t let Melissa leave empty handed. He bought his wife abeautiful lynx coat to wear on chilly nights.

An effective tool in public relations and marketing is getting your business involved in charitable events throughout your community. When our client, Dieci Lifestyle Spa, wanted to host an event to benefit Susan G. Komen, we were excited at the chance to marry the salon business with a fun and unique event that brought awareness and raised funds for breast cancer research. We could have held a gala or auction, but we really wanted to get across the upscale nature of our client while touching on a young, hip audience, so The Hip Event created a high-energy fashion and hair show that melded beauty, music, shopping and charity. Not only did we raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research but we were able to create a unique fashion event that served out client and the local community.

Non-profit, or charity public relations has become a unique tool to gain awareness for a businesses and the charitable organizations. Dieci Lifestyle Spa’s Scratch the Surface event not only helped gained awareness and donations for a Susan G. Komen, but it also helped to put our client in the spotlight.
