FBW 2013 Designer: Theia

Today in our designer line up  is the elegant and sophisticated eveningwear collection, Theia!

The Theia collection is designed by Don O’Neill. He was born in a small village to the west of Ireland. From an early age, he was inspired by his mothers dresses from Bergdorf Goodman and lb Jorgensen couture suits. His love of couture fueled his aspiration to become a fashion designer. Don studied in Dublin at the Barbara Burke College of Fashion Design, where he received a full scholarship. After he graduated, he moved to London and worked with ball gown designer, Gina Fratini. He continued his apprenticeship in Knightsbridge with Couturier Donald Campbell. After working with Gina and Donald, Don moved to Paris to continue his training where he worked with Christian Lacroix in the couture studio.

After a short stay in Paris, Don received his green card and moved to New York. He became the Design Director for evening wear designer Carmen Marc Valvo. He then moved on to create an evening wear line for Badgley Mischka known as The Badgley Mischka Premium Label. Currently, Don is the creative Director of Theia. Theia is designed with the finest European brocades, silks, and prints, embellished with couture beading and embroideries. The collection launched in Fall 2009 and was immediately bought by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, and specialty stores around the globe. His designs have been praised by Carrie Underwood and have also been featued in various media outlets such as Life & Style, US Weekly, InStyle, E! News, Glamour.com, and many more. The Woman who wears Theia will be filled with confidence knowing her dress fits wonderfully and looks beautiful, naturally allowing her inner goddess to shine.
