Hank Baskett Hosts the Celebrity Pro XP Gaming Event

Hank Baskett, former NFL athlete and life-long gamer, will host the 1st annual Hank Baskett Celebrity Pro XP on Saturday, February 1st at the Crowne Plaza Time Square in New York City, host city of Super Bowl XLVIII. This event will provide an afternoon of live gaming with celebrities, athletes, and pro-gamers. Also, event goers will be able to see the work of The Griffin Gives Foundation, and how they use video games to help veterans, children, and those affected by debilitating diseases. With this event, Hank has found a way to creatively bridge the gap between fans and athletes by using video games to create the ultimate fans vs. athletes experience.

Through Baskett’s 5-year career as pro NFL athlete and his reality TV show celebrity status, he has developed a solid network of stars to attend the Celebrity Pro XP. Some athletes that will be in attendance include Torrey Smith and Ray Rice, current NFL Super Bowl Champions of the Baltimore Ravens, Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers power forward, Kyle Busch NASCAR extraordinaire, and so much more. These celebrities will face off against pro gamers in popular video games such as FIFA 2014, Need for Speed, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, and more. The event will also include a live streaming broadcast and Google Plus on air Hangouts, where fans will be able to attend and participate online by watching a live broadcast from inside the event.

Since the New York/New Jersey area is the host of this years Super Bowl event just one week away, our area is about to be hit by an abundance of diehard football fans and spectators. 400,000 people are expected to visit New York for the Super Bowl and 200,000 attendees will visit Super Bowl Boulevard in Times Square alone. Super Bowl Sunday is considered a de facto American national holiday and it is happening in our backyard.
