Maria is a connector of people, business, community and a vast network of industry professionals that make up every aspect of what gets done here.  She created a business that has moved with her through all facets of her changing lifestyle and has a team of people to count on for any project mostly made up of people in her life for over 10 years. – That says something.

Starting out in Philadelphia after college under the legendary Public Relations and Special Events  mastermind, Nicole Cashman, Maria worked her way back to New Jersey as a public relations executive in 2003 and has two decades of experience in PR and special events for luxury retailers such as Hugo Boss, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.  She started The Hip Event in 2006 to bring her expertise of events and public relations to local luxury retailers to create some of the most memorable events.

While starting a family and having her first son, she expanded the brand in 2014 with HipNewJersey.com, a digital platform that featured the latest in fashion, food, trends, personalities, business, community, and entertainment in the Garden State calling on all her friends in the industry to be a part of this digital community. She furthered the brand and co-produced Hip New Jersey for local television in a thirty-minute magazine-style program that reached over 600,000 homes in Morris, Essex, Union and Somerset Counties.

In 2017 after her second son, she dialed things back to focus on family and raising these tiny humans.   She moved  into the personal events space as a Senior Event Planner for various top event planners in the industry which has brought us here today.  Her expertise in fashion, public relations, marketing and personal event planning makes her a match for any client; big or small, personal or corporate.
